Positions:


 
Landscape Project Estimator – must be proficient in all tasks relating to landscape installation/construction. This position estimates landscape construction projects and manages multiple landscape construction projects together with Management.

Requirements

  • Comply with all company policies/procedures and safety requirements.
  • Minimum 2 years experience working as estimator for landscape company.
  • Act as intermediary between company management and job foreman.
  • Ability to effectively and expeditiously process change orders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate company resources with help of Office Manger.
  • Ability to process and coordinate beautification award entries.
  • Flexibility and adaptability key to integrity of work flow.
  • Possess valid Calif. Drivers License and be insurable by company insurance carriers.
  • Bilingual a plus.
  • Estimating Software: OnCenter’s On-Screen Takeoff and Quick Bid experience a plus, or ability to train and learn programs.
  • Continuing education requirement of minimum 20 hrs./year.(Estimation programs or new materials research.)

 
Landscape Foreman – must be capable of translating technical information and a broad view of expected results to a focused and specific assignment. The Foreman must also be capable of producing a productive, goal-oriented work process by motivating and leading other people in a supportive, coaching manner. 

Requirements

  • Comply with all company policies/procedures and safety requirements.
  • Conscientious of safety procedures for company employees on the job site.
  • Proper care of tools/equipment on job site to avoid loss or misuse.
  • Enforce company’s policies and procedures.
  • Arrive for work on time and ready to work by 7:00 a .m.
  • Demonstrate good attendance/schedule days off.
  • Maintain clean driving record of six points or less.
  • Be responsible for the truck and/or trailer.
  • Train coworkers about proper equipment usage.
  • Use required safety equipment.
  • Continuing education – minimum of 12hrs./yr (8/hr in-house training, 4/hr outside source).

 
Landscape Lead Man – must know and gain proficiency in performing regular/advanced tasks of landscape installation/construction. This position should be able to perform with minimal technical supervision. 

Requirements

  • Maintain physical fitness level necessary to complete assigned job tasks.
  • Comply with all company policies/procedures and safety requirements.
  • Conscientious of safety of the customer, job site, and company employees on site.
  • Report all unsafe conditions and practices to foreman or daily leader.
  • Proper care of tools/equipment on job site to avoid loss or misuse.
  • Manage “Novice” employees under supervision of foreman, when foreman is absent.
  • Require minimal technical supervision.
  • Continuing education requirement of minimum of 12/hr/year.
  • Bi-lingual a plus.

 
Landscape Novice/Laborer – must gain proficiency in performing basic tasks of landscape installation.

Requirements

  • No previous experience needed.
  • Legal documentation to verify employment eligibility.
  • Wear appropriate work boots, uniform shirts ascribed by company policy.
  • Familiar with company manual and policies contained and set forth, include safety guidelines/standards.
  • Use assigned tools and equipment in proper/safe manner.
  • Assist unloading work trucks, delivery trucks, on site set up. Keep job site staging area clean and organized.
  • Assist in keeping the job site tidy/safe.
  • Have full range of mobility in upper and lower body.
  • Be able to reach over head.
  • Be able to work in various positions including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods of time.
  • Be able to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks.
  • Be able to lift 50lbs of weight frequently throughout assigned work day.
  • Be able to bend and stoop repeatedly throughout assigned workday.
  • Maintain physical fitness level required to perform assigned job tasks.
  • Reliable transportation to job site/office.
  • Bilingual a plus.
  • Report to work at the assigned time and assigned location, perform duties as assigned. If unable to report for work, notification to Office Mgr. is mandatory.
