Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a design to have landscaping done?

Yes, we need a complete design in order to give you a competitive price and to use as a guide for installation. The design process can take 60 to 90 days. Large projects require a topographic map; a subcontractor will be hired to provide this service. The cost of this service varies with the size of the project.

Do you do free estimates?

We will give one free 45-minute design consultation. Thereafter, you will be advised as to how many hours it will take to complete your design (including 2 progress meetings) in preparation for installation. Of course, if you are installing just a specific feature and/or element we would be able to provide you with and estimate at no charge.

Do you do design only?

We do not. We are a design build Landscape Company and do landscape design with the intent of following through to installation.

What if I already have a plan, will you install my design?

Yes, we will be happy to look at someone else’s design and give you an estimate on what it will take to install it. We work with local Landscape Architects and their designs on a regular basis helping to bring their visions to life. If your design drawings are not complete we will charge for the design time to complete them for estimating purposes.

Do you sub out your work?

Creative Environments has been in business for 29 years. We employ and manage all of our own artisans. We control all phases of construction eliminating the need to consider several companies and/or subcontractors.

When can you start my landscape project?

Depending on the time of year and the projects we have in queue you can expect that from beginning of design to the beginning of installation will take approximately 60 to 90 days. Once the estimate is completed and all aspects of the design have been secured we can proceed to scheduling for your installation and signing the installation contract.

How long will it take to complete a project from design through installation?

It depends on the complexity of the project and possible changes made during the construction of your landscape. Every project is different.
