Since 1978
Harry North founded Creative Environments over thirty-four years ago. Today, the firm’s team of designers, carpenters, masons, concrete finishers, and landscape installation professionals takes our tradition of building beautiful, functional, and long-lasting gardens into the new century with pride.

Harry North founded Creative Environments over thirty-four years ago, while earning his bachelors degree in biology from Humbolt State University. Born and raised in Marin County, he obtained much of his design sense as a young boy from many family backpacking trips into the rugged eastern Sierras. His early childhood memories are of working on bonsai with his mother. Harry's favorite gardens still have an Asian theme.
